The star of ‘KinnPorsche: The Series’ is an avid collector of vintage watches
Did you know that when popular Thai actor Mile Phakphum Romsaithong is not turning on his charm on screen and at Dior fashion shows, he is an avid collector of vintage watches?
The star of the hit series KinnPorsche has amassed a collection of elegant pieces from Cartier to Patek Philippe, all adorned with subtle details.
In this interview, Mile, who reunited with his KinnPorsche co-star Apo in the new Netflix film Mansuang, talks about collecting these watches and the special meaning attached to them.
How many watches did you bring for us today?
Five, and they are among the first that I collected. They are rather minimalist (in design). Being in the entertainment industry that is diverse and fun, I decided to go for something timeless that I’d never get bored of seeing. I’ve taken photos of all of them.
Tell us about the first watch.
It’s a Rolex Day-Date 36mm in yellow gold with a matching President bracelet and an onyx black dial. I like this watch and usually wear it with my gold and black rings.
I feel gold and black together are timeless and can be worn for any occasion. The cool thing about this model is its size. It’s very suitable for Asian wrists, not too overwhelming and doesn't stand out too much.

What about the second watch?
This is a Patek Philippe Ref. 3732 in yellow gold from the 1970s. Again, it is gold with a black dial. I wear this one quite often. While I collect a lot of things, like watches and guitars, only a few are worn or used.
I’m lazy when it comes to dressing up, hence I always go for gold and black as they are easy to match with clothes.
