1. Chanel launches new Iconic handbag campaign

Brad Pitt and brand ambassador Penelope Cruz star in Chanel’s latest handbag campaign, a short film directed by Inez & Vindooh. It paid homage to the romantic film A Man and A Woman (1966), and many scenes were recreated including one in which actress Anouk Aimée used her own Chanel handbag as prop.

2. Celine taps Danielle from NewJeans for global ambassador

Celine announced Danielle of K-pop girl group NewJeans is their new global brand ambassador. She is the latest among her bandmates to become the face of a luxury brand. Her fellow band members Hanni, Hyein, Haerin and Minji are ambassadors at Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Chanel respectively.

3. Manolo Blahnik shop opens in Causeway Bay

Italian shoe brand Manolo Blahnik is expanding its presence in Hong Kong with its newest shop in Lee Gardens One, with two more locations to be announced. The space was designed by British architect Nick Leith-Smith, who grew up in Hong Kong and has worked with Manolo Blahnik since 2003.

4. Rimowa launches Hammerschlag collection

Premium luggage label Rimowa releases its newest collection, named Hammerschlag (German for “hammer hit”), inspired by a vintage design from the 1960s. The collection consists of a hand-carry case and cabin bag, both featuring textured aluminium and a cognac leather handle.

5. Zendaya wears tennis-themed custom Loewe to ‘Challengers’ premiere

Zendaya, Mike Faist and global brand ambassador Josh O’Connor all wore custom Loewe to the Challengers premiere in Sydney on March 26. The actress’s green embellished gown featured a tennis ball and the shadow of tennis racket, her signature nod to the themes of the film.

6. Louis Vuitton releases spring capsule collection

French maison Louis Vuitton releases its nautical-themed spring 2024 capsule collection, which offers a sophisticated spin on feminine sportswear. The capsule includes women’s ready-to-wear garments, leather goods, marine-themed bags, fashion jewellery and more.

7. Bottega Veneta shares campaign for new Andiamo bag

Summer’s hottest bag comes in the form of Bottega Veneta’s newest Andiamo offering. Chinese model Liu Wen stars in the maison’s campaign imagery, holding the light brown and beige design made out of Bristol calfskin and canvas. She also starred in the brand’s autumn-winter 2023 campaign.

8. Supreme and MM6 Maison Margiela collaborate on collection

MM6, part of Belgian brand Maison Margiela, and streetwear brand Supreme worked together on a collection for spring 2024, including a faux fur coat, workwear jacket, shorts, tank tops and more. The collection will be available for purchase in Asia on both brands’ websites from March 30.

9. Valentino not participating in upcoming menswear and haute couture shows

Following the news that creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli is stepping down from Valentino, the brand announced that it will not be participating in this season’s menswear and haute couture shows as it is yet to announce a successor.

10. K-beauty brand Jung Saem Mool Beauty to launch in Hong Kong

Jung Saem Mool Beauty is coming to Hong Kong in April and opening a boutique at Lane Crawford Times Square. Founder Jung Saem Mool has been a make-up artist in Korea for celebrity clientele since 1999, and her product line-up includes a range of skincare, cushions and colourful cosmetics.
